POWERHOUSE, in its 30 years, has played well over 1000 shows everywhere from the US mid-west to across the pond in Portugal and the Azores Islands.  They’ve headlined Canada’s Largest Ribfest in Burlington, Ontario, and have played the summer concert series in Akron, Ohio, The  Festival of Lights in Peterborough, The Festival of the Islands in Gananoque, Ontario, and The La Ronde Theatre at 6 Flags Amusement Park in Montreal, P.Q.,  just to name a few. With a full three-piece horn section, five-piece rhythm section, two keyboardists and four lead vocalists, the band has collected a wealth of material suitable for anything from intimate Corporate events, a night of dancing in the Clubs, large outdoor Festivals or soft-seater Theatres.  The POWERHOUSE show is a mixture of Motown/Soul/R&B and classic rock, with a tribute to the divas, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, and others, featuring lead vocalist Paula Tessaro, formerly of Ray Lyell and the Storm and TaShe.  Although the band is well-travelled, they have always been known as one of the best party bands in the area and they continue to perform regularly to a strong local following near their home base of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada where their trademark ‘wall-of-sound’ first originated.
