POWERHOUSE POWERHOUSE, in its 30 years, has played well over 1000 shows in Festivals, Theatres, Private functions, Corporate events and Clubs everywhere from the US mid-west to across the pond in Portugal and the Azores Islands.  They recently headlined Canada’s Largest Ribfest in Burlington, Ontario, and have played the summer concert series in Akron, Ohio, The Festival of Lights in Peterborough, The Bay Mills Casino and Resort in Northern Michigan, The Festival of the Islands in Gananoque, Ontario, The La Ronde Theatre at 6 Flags Amusement Park in Montreal, P.Q., just to name a few. The band, consisting of a full three-piece horn section, five-piece rhythm section, two keyboardists and four lead vocalists, was originally formed to emulate the soul/horn bands of the 60's.  Today, the band still retains its original early Motown/Soul/R&B ‘feel’ while adding classic rock to their show and a tribute to the divas, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle and others, featuring lead vocalist Paula Tessaro, formerly of Ray Lyell and the Storm and TaShe. Over the years, the band has collected a wealth of material suitable for anything from intimate Corporate events, a night of dancing in the Clubs, large outdoor Festivals or soft-seater Theatres.  Although the band is well- travelled, playing shows throughout eastern and central North America, POWERHOUSE has always been known as one of the best party bands in the area and continues to perform regularly to a strong local following near their home base of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada where their trademark ‘wall-of-sound’ first originated, thirty years ago.
