The POWERHOUSE Band, originally formed in 1986 to recreate the sound of the 60’s horn bands, continues to emulate their classic roots with their current ‘Tribute to the R&B Divas’ with Paula Tessaro.
With four lead vocalists, two keyboard players and a three-piece horn section, the band has performed their Chicago Transit tribute act – the first of its kind, and longest running anywhere in the world – throughout eastern Canada and the U.S. for over two decades.
The band has taken their Ray Charles tribute with Frank Rondell to Europe, their Chicago Transit tribute to Chicago, Illinois and into the U.S. Midwest.
They continue to perform their POWERHOUSE and Rod Stewart shows regularly at festivals, theatres, casinos, corporate events, nightclubs and private functions throughout eastern North America.
In addition to their many national and international shows, the band also performs regularly in nightclubs near their home base of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada where their now-trademarked ‘wall of sound’ first originated.
